Created after Ardania were annexed into the empire following a brutal campaign, the Custodian of the South is a prestigious yet burdensome title. It is bestowed upon the appointed overseer responsible for maintaining order, infrastructure, and allegiance in the volatile southern lands, regions known for their fierce independence and diverse cultures.
Duties
Enforce imperial law and tax collection across the southern territories.
Mediate between fractious local clans, merchant guilds, and imperial authorities.
Oversee reconstruction efforts after the recent conflicts.
Lead the southern garrison forces and organize defenses against border raiders or insurgents.
Serve as the southern court’s chief diplomat to neighboring realms.

Argos Antony Aurelius: Second born son of the Emperor Tiberius Marcus Aurelius and currently holds all power over the entirety of the south through brutality and his imperial lineage.
