Cojuni

Hailing from the great city of Coju , the Cojuni are a far-reaching people whose presence can now be found in many corners of the world, from Ardania to the Isles of Refuge, and even deep within the vast reaches of the Dark Continent, where they have carved out new homes. At heart, the Cojuni are a merchant culture, driven by a restless curiosity and an enduring desire for prosperity. For generations they have set sail from the Eastern Lands, seeking new trade routes, untapped markets, and alliances that might strengthen their influence abroad. It is a common custom among them to secure political marriages with the local elite of the regions they settle in, weaving bonds of family and commerce together. This tradition has yielded immense wealth for many of the old merchant houses of Coju, and it has also shaped their descendants into a people of striking diversity. Through generations of intermarriage, the Cojuni bloodline has become a tapestry of many ethnic heritages, giving rise to communities whose customs, dialects, and appearances reflect a unique blend of worlds. These descendants carry with them not only the merchant instincts of their forebears but also a rich cultural synthesis, making them skilled diplomats, adaptable travelers, and bearers of traditions unlike any other in the known lands.
