The Awakening

In ages long past, the universe seemed quite mundane. Life developed naturally, nations rose and fell, and people went about their lives like any other. Then, in the year 3668 K.U., an even known as the Awakening occurred. In the heart of the The Northern Suns Federation, formerly known as Kaori, two individuals suddenly developed seemingly god-like powers and came into conflict with one another. The continent and country of Kaori was devastated, but the world was forever changed. Super powers, magic, and magical entities all seemed to suddenly flood into the universe, as though a dam was burst and everything supernatural surged in.
  Though this event occurred on the planet of I'ltoanl, its effects were felt all across the universe as alien races saw similar and sudden changes. A universe that was once mundane was now decorated with mysticism and supermen, never able to return back to normal.
