Alhara Desert

As the central government is stationed in the cold side of Jana, the Alhara Desert side is left vulnerable to all sorts of crime and chaos left free to roam across the dune seas. The only form of local law enforcement takes the form of County Sheriffs, along with their Deputies. A Sheriff would be a government employed officer who has authority to pass justice onto anyone breaking the law in their area as well as attend to any complaints among the locals up to problems on a municipality level (depending on town size and population). They operate in small offices or shacks in towns and they look into all form of crime, murder, robbery, and would be supported with at least a town coroner or doctor, and if possible a forensic analyst. Many cases fall onto one or two Sheriffs at a time so solving these crimes takes a longer process. Due to the backflow of cases, Sheriffs would put up bounties to capture wanted criminals or runaways that are either too troublesome to go after or too dangerous.
Albard Iceland
As the central government is stationed there they have the Jana Glacial Police Force who have more authority, resources, and spread of power compared to Alhara Desert. Due to the snowy and glacial terrains they are outfitted with top-grade winter traveling gear, skidoos, and armored sled transports. They act on a federal level across the winter side of Jana and they handle all cases divided into a complex series of departments for robbery, homicide, organized crime, narcotics, etc. They are recognized for their navy blue snowsuits and their badges made out of ice.
Bounty System
Sheriffs, Locals, Private Clients, Bounty Hunter Organizations, and etc, would put up various types of requests on the Bounty Board which can either be found on a physical billboard or the Bounty.Net system online which is updated every few days depending on wi-fi connection. The Bounty.Net would provide all sorts of jobs from escorting cargo, delivering sensitive packages, armed protection, search and rescue, or bounty hunting which is the most popular job. Most of the requests would be to hunt down a certain person or criminal and bring them back, dead or alive depending on fine-print, in exchange for a large sum of reward. Bounty hunting is often the more dangerous job and although anyone can take it, not many survive if they are not experienced or careful.
