Impulse Crystals

Impulse-Crystals, aka, Psycho-Amber, is an orange/reddish natural resource that is refined down into a pure liquid or gaseous form for industrial usage such as rocket fuel, and other uses from the refining byproduct. When mining it in its raw form, it’s recommended not to keep it stored in any quantity over 1-ton. Holding any more than 1-ton risks attracting dangerous creatures or wildlife.   Impulse-Crystals can be identified by a faint sweet smell. To those with animal characteristics and a strong sense of smell, it smells of strawberries and oranges. Great care must be taken when mining the crystals. If someone is under direct exposure to the crystals for 10 hours a day for about 3-6 years, crystal patterns will form under their skin. If this happens, avoid any more contact with the mineral.   Anymore contact with the mineral will cause the skin formations to grow, which will cause blood poisoning. The spread will be slow and painful and will start soon after the skin formations if contact isn’t avoided. The spread and poisoning will last 8-15 years after formations begin and will ultimately result in death if not treated. Basic treatment can be taken to slow down the growth, but magic or medicine of a high caliber can be used to cure the blood poisoning under high supervision for 6 months. Scarring from the crystal growths will remain in the skin whether it’s just developed or cured.
