Boulderdashes

Creatures that resemble animated rock. Due to this resemblance, people often mistake them for the real thing and seek to use their shade to rest in. They possess tremorsense and are easily snapped out of their light hibernation cycle. When awakened, they march over to the nearest moving target and pummel them to death before devouring the prey entirely. Their rock bodies can be recovered and smelted down to become rock weapons, shields, or enhanced armor plating on vehicles given its durability to withstand explosive and piercing attacks. The larger specimens of the species have a shining black horn on their back which seems to be a weakness; but the factors of their size, their spread of attack (Telekinesis Rock), and their ability to pivot sharply make it hard to attack said horn. After a large Boulderdash is killed, people often excavate their innards for special crystal minerals.
