The War of Ar'Ahk extermination
"The War was not a war. It was a slaughter. The Draconians marched through their tunnels. They slaughtered the Ar'Ahk. They burned their webs and their eggs. They destroyed all they could. And yet, the Ar'Ahk still lived, even with the full might of the Legion. Whether this was due to insubordination, or the horrors that dwell deep within the caverns of the Rip, is unknown. What is known is that the Ar'Ahk survived, and that the war led to the creation of the council of Disciples." -Draconic Extermination, a history of Genocide in the Empire
The Conflict
Prelude
The Ar'Ahk launched a series of attacks against Draconian miners in their caverns, seeking Durnan. The Draconian miners would inadvertently cause destruction amongst the Ar'Ahk cities, with their mining activities.
Deployment
200,000 Legionnaires, nearly a million footsoldiers. 1,000 Disciples of the True Gods, 250 of Kat'Tahk, 250 of Ko'Tar, 250 of Hek'Tah, and 250 of Flau'Vous.
The Entire Ar'Ahk civilization, including millions of Ar'Ahk soldiers.
Battlefield
The underground caverns of the Ar'Ahk civilization, that spanned under the whole of the Draconic Empire.
Conditions
The dark and wet of the tunnels led to initial complications facing the Ar'Ahk, who were adapted to the environment.
Outcome
The people gained a severe distrust of the Elders, and the Emperor, leading to the establishment of the Council of Disciples, and the Order of Clerics.
The Ar'Ahk people were annihilated. Those that survived were forced deep into the Underground of the Rip, to deal with whatever horrors dwell there.
Aftermath
The Establishment of the council of Disciples and the Order of Clerics, which act as a guide to morality and faith to the Emperor, and the Council of Elders. The Inquisition was also formed as a result, to ensure that the corruption that led to the Ar'Ahk Extermination never occurs again.
Historical Significance
Legacy
The Legacy of the Ar'Ahk Extermination is one of bitter tastes and disgust. What few Draconic People there are that are fully educated on the subject view the Extermination with abject horror.
