The city’s fertile plains and nearby forests ensure a steady supply of food and timber, supporting its population and markets. Additionally, the Hollow Citadel, the royal treasury, and emergency food stores contribute to the city’s resilience.   Militarily, Cilasia is well-equipped with armories housing enchanted weapons, siege equipment, and magically reinforced armor crafted by Terramancers. The Ebony Sentinels, the King’s elite guard, are outfitted with state-of-the-art gear, while the city’s thick walls and watchtowers are fortified with runes to repel attacks. Dockyards in the Harbor District support a modest fleet of trading and defensive vessels, ensuring control over Lake Ceridwyn.   Cilasia’s wealth is bolstered by its trade hubs and guilds, including the Merchant Guild and Terramancers’ Circle, which oversee commerce and magical innovation. The Market District’s warehouses brim with textiles, enchanted goods, and imported luxuries, while the temples safeguard precious relics such as the Sunstone of Revelation and the Tidal Sapphire. Beneath this prosperity lies a shadow economy, with smuggling operations and stolen artifacts circulating through the city’s underbelly in Shadow Hollow, adding a layer of intrigue to Cilasia’s dynamic assets.

    Architecture

Cilasia’s architecture is renowned across the Pactlands as a masterpiece of Terramantic craftsmanship, drawing aspiring architects and mages from far and wide to train under its masters. The city’s buildings, crafted from a variety of stone types, reflect a harmonious blend of natural forms and human ingenuity. At the heart of this tradition is the Hollow Citadel, the royal palace carved into the western face of Mount Idracarn. Spanning vast halls, gardens, and labyrinthine vaults, the citadel took two decades of dedicated Terramantic artistry to complete and stands as a symbol of the Hillbreaker dynasty's strength and vision.
Another marvel is the Shrine of Harmony, a fifteen-story tower crafted entirely from a single block of seamless white marble. Its flawless surface and intricate carvings, depicting the unity of the Broken Choir, are widely regarded as one of the greatest achievements of Terramantic architecture. Beyond its spiritual significance, the shrine’s acoustic design amplifies hymns and prayers into a transcendent auditory experience, attracting pilgrims, scholars, and architects alike.
While the Market District features stone structures adorned with imported marble and sandstone, the Harbor District, Lower District, and Shadow Hollow rely more on timber construction, showcasing a simpler but functional style. Even so, every corner of Cilasia bears the hallmark of its architectural tradition, from the enchanted aqueducts to the fortified city walls. This mastery of stone and form has made Cilasia not only the capital of Halen but a beacon of cultural and architectural excellence throughout the Pactlands.
