Personal history

Bayne Dalon was born and raised in the rugged landscapes of the Drayva Province Lowlands in Rasza, a land known for its harsh environment and resilient inhabitants. Growing up in a culture that valued strength and survival, Bayne quickly distinguished himself as a capable warrior. His service in the Granite Riders, a Raszan mercenary outfit, solidified his reputation, earning him respect for his tactical brilliance and unmatched skill with a blade. However, his experiences also hardened him, fostering a deep suspicion of outsiders, particularly the Free Folk, due to longstanding tensions.   Bayne’s life took a pivotal turn when he forged a bond with Nalya’s father after the respected Halish nobleman saved Bayne from a stray arrow during a skirmish at the boundary between Rasza and the Disputed Lands. Bayne pledged himself to be the man's protector for as long as he lived. Unfortunately, his guilt for not being present when he died pushed Bayne to extend his lifedebt to his daughter, Nalya, who he has been with since. This vow has guided his actions, binding him to Nalya’s service and tempering his prejudices when necessary. While his loyalty to her is unshakable, Bayne’s experiences and worldview continue to shape his interactions, making him a complex and layered figure.
