Kin
Kin are the most populous of the human bloodlines. A myriad of kin cultures spans the world, each with their own specialized skills. Scholars are divided on whether other bloodlines descended from kin, or the kin descended from other bloodlines. Within the Empire of Koth, kin hold the most positions of power.
Your ancestral skills should reflect your culture and upbringing. As kin are also the most diverse of the ancestries, kin from neighboring villages may have different skills even if there are some skills found across entire regions. The acquisition of these ancestral skills are significant milestones in the life of a kin and often represent their coming of age. They are more than mechanics, representing the connection of the kin to their people, history, and homeland.
Consider characters from a simple fishing village. Skills that are common, relevant, and iconic range from Survival- Sea, Craft- Smith, Lore- Urth, Path of Water, Style- Great Weapon (Spear), Passage (Water), Harvesting, Repair or Traps. Students at a Military Academy, House of the Heart or an Institute of the Mages Guild would have thematically similar skills but could still possess individually different skills. Some specific locations or people may have a mandatory skill but those are the exceptions.
A new sort of Kin has arisen in the last few hundred years, named kindred, these people are of mixed ancestries. History tells of few appearances of people who shared the gifts of more than one ancestry. Why kindred have appeared in numbers is unknown. Some say it is a breeding program of the Numyn of Koth. Others claim a change in magics signaling a changing of the ages. Kindred may be the result of parents of different ancestries such as Kin and Elf or Kin and Changeling. Traits from a more distant ancestor can also manifest to the child of two kin parents. Magical intervention can also produce kindred children, such as the presence of a Fae portal, an elemental nexus or even the rare resurrection effect.

You may choose one of the following:- Cultured- Choose two additional Standard Milestone skills, adding them to the Initiative feature. You can also use the Skill Mastery effect with these skills. If you reach Master level in a Cultured skill, you may replace that skill with another for use with the Skill Mastery feature by marking it with a Minor Milestone.
- Travelled- Use the Mastery ability for any Discipline you possess at a SKILLED level or greater. All other rules for Skill Mastery apply.
- Kindred- Add a single Devotion of another ancestry that you can use. You may use your Initiative ability to gain an Ancestral skill granted by your second ancestry. Example: The Communication or Survival ability of some bloodlines.
