Servants of The Sacreds

The religion of the ancient kings and queens that built the land of Oliviara with their bare hands and raw magical talents. The sacreds are worshipped by nearly all of the titans in and around the continent of Oliviara. It is the major religion of the race and stems straight from their magical surroundings and stories handed down by elders through the eras. The Servants are the royal-backed organisation that spreads the word and tends to the the religious needs of most of the people on the continent. Even those who subscribe to more cultish beliefs still hold the names of the Sacreds above all. They are worshipped in the cities in temples built to honor them and there are shrines to them littered throughout the kingdoms villages and towns. Their feats, wisdoms and actions have been recorded by the Servants for millenia in the Black Scrolls, the holy text of the belief. The supreme leader of the religion, the Great Servant, is the mortal head of the religion. He resides at the Great Temple of the King of the Gods in the city of Vanis, Transyl. According to the Scrolls, he is the mortal link between the Sacreds and the rest of the living world. He chooses which servants will be come Grand Servants and serve kings in their capitals. These Grand Servants in turn are the ones who select which servants will serve as Arch Servants of their own temples. Each major city has a temple, so much so that they have become a symbol of pride for cities as having one indicates a level of prestige. Each of these temples has an Arch Servant. And some of the larger shrines are far enough removed from cities as to not be under the jurisdiction of a city 's Arch Servant, and are staffed by Servantas, volunteers who have given their lives to the faith. They all have the permission of the Great Servant to perform rites, rituals and ceremonies in his name and in turn they all report on the spiritual health of all titans back to Transyl and the Great Temple. The temple is the biggest in the faith and one of the oldest surviving temples in the whole religion. This particular temple is dedicated to the King of The Gods, the greatest god and head of the pantheon. Though the gods are worshipped by all the titans, some are more than others and worship varies by location and city. For instance the King of Swords, the nominal deity of war within the religion is worshipped only during times of conflict except for in Lu Pri, the Free City of Lilium and on the island of Drown Dead Isle. Each of the gods are worshipped on different days of the week and what god a city has dedicated itself to has decided individual cities weekdays and weekends for millenia. The gods have no names that are known by their followers as thus, The King of The Gods, The King of The Rivers, The King of The Clouds, The King of the Mountains, The King of The Forest , The Queen of Lovers, The King of Swords, The King of the Gilded Dead, The Queen of The Tainted Dead, The King of Oceans, The Queen of Monsters. These are the main gods, the ones people refer to when they mention the Sacreds or the Gods. Though there are hundreds of holy princes and dukes that are all worshipped alongside them.
