Green Stream of the K'Thoni River
The Green Stream, so known for the deposits of jade found near the rivers two largest distributaries. These gemstones are often picked up off the river bed and carried by the currents downstream to the city of Lu Pri. By land area, the largest city in Kimion, and thanks to the ruling Noble Africani family, the most well defended, too. Second only to the Great Blue Stream in length, the Green Stream is as important to the people of the west as the Blue Stream is to those in the midlands, east, and south. As the land west of the capital is forested and hilly, there is no royal road connecting it to the capital. Thus, the river acts as the highway to and from the massive city. The first western distributary of the river leads directly to the Africani Estate and the castle built there by Crassus Sephardi Africani, while the eastern divergence leads to the Fort Subari, where the infamous Africani legionnaires are trained. Further down the river is where the river meets the city, with the distributaries here leading to the Bay of Swords, where the administration of the city happens, and further north, the Bay of Sails, where the Africani fleet is kept and deployed from during times of war. Further north is a very interesting quirk of Oliviara's geopolitics. Thanks to the marriage of King Roger and Princess Omma Von Nelco, the Kingdoms of Kimion and Minia have reached a new level of cooperation, and so King Roger decided to gift two villages, the village of Tyre-near-Sea and the village of Southtown, to the crown of Minia. He was able to do this thanks to his familial relations, as his father was the cousin of the current Africani family head. The northern end of the river serves as the border of the new territory since the exchange. The king put strict provisions in place that limit any of the people in Tyre-near-Sea from ever heading southward towards the capital.
