Rank directly below that of royalty. In the Kingdom of Kimion, the title of Duke is held by the Noble Killgold family, specifically the family's head and most senior member as per royal laws. As of now, the title, styled Grand Duke of East Omeni, is held by Lord Honorable Kardinal III Killgold. It was also the rank that the old ruling dynasty of the Kimion region held as they first came into the possession of the region by means of a grant of land and title from Emperor Dioni, the ruler of the Great Empire of Transyl during that period. Though they called themselves the Royal Classi, they officially styled themselves as dukes right up until their last sovereign, Duke Cecil X Classi.
