High Elves

The High Elves once held the seat of power on the surface world, with great cities standing as landmarks in every region. But through a growing hubris, they underestimated the threat of the Wraiths and were soon overwhelmed with their numbers right after the dwarves. The elves arguably suffered the most destruction from the Age of Shadows, and as city by city fell, all survivors started flocking to the greatest of all elven cities, Kalvos. Here they used their deep knowledge of magic to create a magical forest to keep out all intruders. Now, almost no one knows how to enter the City without the blessing of one of its residents, and the High Elves mostly keep to themselves. There are rumors that because of this great magic, creatures of the Fae Wild have entered our world and live alongside the elves.
