Dwarves

An ancient race, the dwarves have had plenty of time to establish an empire. The dwarves once had dominion over all mountains, and had highways known as the "Deep Roads" leading to every corner of Extria, and even the underdark. In the age of shadows, the Wraiths came from the underdark and invaded the dwarves by suprise. Lots of dwarves were slaughtered and in the great war they were forced to collapse most of their highways. Now there is only two main kingdoms of dwarves, the Copper Empire, and Kal Sharok. The Copper Empire have spent their time trying to restablish their trade networks with the surface world, but the dwarves of Kal Sharok have become extremely solitary and almost none know what they do in their mountain fortress.
