The Outlaw Kingdom
The Outlaw Kingdom is but a few centuries old, and yet it has more influence on the world than many lawfully-founded nations in the 4th millennium. Ruled by the outcast bard, Dariel Illoris (or King Daren Blake as he is known to his people), the kingdom is one built upon crime and banditry. A criminal kingdom with entire army is one that would worry even the greatest of empire. But it is only the nations and kings that must worry, because despite their seemingly villainous nature, the Outlaw Kingdom brings all its kindness to the common-folk of the world, sharing their spoils amongst those of their own kingdom and any others they come across during their raids.
History
For countless millennium - since before even the Lathlaeril Empire - the Redspire Desert has remained devoid of civilization, even the dwarves of the Redspire Mountains kept to the more tropical sides of the mountains. It is believed to have once been ruled by an ancient human empire, one that built the crumbling structures that litter the desert. But now it has been reinvigorated with life, with the expulsion of the famed bard, Dariel Illoris "Daren Blake" from the city of Gwuinild near on three hundred years ago after the was caught in bed with the Prince of Gwuinild. Many of his fans and fellow charlatans followed him in his exile, were he traveled to the Redspire Desert, settling along the River Sand. Sick of following the rule of law and the nobles that enforced it, he took to raiding elven ships and stealing there goods to return to his people. This soon earned him the nickname of Outlaw King by his people and enemies. As more and more criminals and outlaws traveled to his desert, Dariel was soon under the control of entire criminal operations. But no matter how violent or immoral his means were, he would always share the spoils amongst his people and poor folk he met in his travels. Even now King Daren Blake "King of Brigands" rules his kingdom and raids the rich in the name of the poor.
Those that exploit the poor are the real criminals!
