Sorrow Harbour

Loche Marrow was once a bustling port city constructed by the Sea Dwarves of Seann Dòigh to serve as an entry way to trade along the Western Sea. Folk came from half-way across the world just to purchase the luxurious goods on offer. After the conquest of the Seann Dòigh by the Empire of Lathlaeril, the dwarves that inhabited and controlled the city were so wealthy that they were able to buy independence from the elven empire. Their prosperity continued for hundreds of years longer, until the Illithid came. Loche Marrow was one of the first cities to be hit by the wave of mind flayers and their minions. The invasion happened so quickly that they had little time to put up a resistance. The Illithid stormed through the city, leaving none of its citizens alive. And once the smoke had cleared and the Illithid army had moved on to new cities, Loche Marrow was a city of corpses. Since then, monstrosities and reprobates of every kind have called the city their home, corrupting not only the city, but nearly the entire north-west coast of Eugros. For millennia, no one dare sail near the coast for fear of what lie behind the mist that has engulfed it. However, since a party of legendary adventurer's travelled to the ruins of the city 157 years ago in search of a powerful Elemental Oni, it was revealed that much of the source of the mist was an ancient magical device that released smog in order to conceal the city, most likely to hide from future Illithid attacks. They deactivated the device which encouraged settlement near the city. Since, the orcs of the Greatpeak Mountains have settled in the area after being driven out of the mountains by the elves of Ethealwan.
