Kingdom of the Shifting Sands
According to the followers of the Ynngriar, human true civilization began three-hundred thousand years ago when Kas'Achem lead his people to the ancient Redspire desert to avoid the wrath of the dragons and giants that ruled the world. This "Kingdom of the Shifting Sands" thrived for near on two-hundred thousand years mastering the many forms of magic and innovating with great many technologies. The only remnants of this ancient kingdom are the many cursed structures that litter the Redspire Desert to this day, which has led many scholars and skeptics to even doubt its existence and the validity of it being the precursor to all human kingdoms.
History
Nigh on five-hundred thousand years ago when the gods of the mortal plane had ascended to the heavens, a great war began between the mortal races, one that would leave the dragons and giants as the dominate race of the Radiant Nexus. The remnants of mankind were left to cower in their shadows, becoming either slaves or food. But one man would not have his people oppressed by these monstrosities, Temuhut Kas'Achem. He and the humans that had been enslaved with led a revolt against their giant masters, one that led to success. From their he travelled all across the world liberating human slaves until he finally amassed enough people to flee from the dragons and giants. With this great horde he settled in the Redspire Desert, a desert so desolate that even blue dragons dare not enter it. But fearing the wrath of their former masters the human host were willing to take this risk, and so the first human kingdom was formed, the Kingdom of the Shifting Sands as it is known today. Over millennia this kingdom thrived, developing new technologies and experimenting greatly with the arcane. However, the kingdom slowly fractured as time went on, with these smaller kingdoms apparently being the precursors to many of the human cultures that live to this day (all except for the Ling Wei, Hjorsgardians, Snoplatsians, Aisofoku, and Matuli people). Finally, in the years preceding the War of the Titans it is thought that these successor kingdoms shattered as humans began to migrate out of the desert to find new lands to settle as the tyranny of dragons and giants wavered.
