Caethaiene
Along the southern edges of the Dusted Wastes live the Caethaiene, or as they are also known, the People of the Parchment. For thousands of years these folk have lived off of the sea, as little grows in desert to that they call home. Only relatively recently have they turned towards the Wastes, with the discovery of extensive gold deposits littering the entirety of the desert. This has had two great effects. Firstly, it has caused the rise of the illustrious Ak-Husar Caliphate which has slowly made its way further along and into the desert. Secondly, it has encouraged the People of the Parchment to delve into the trade of slaves to work the terrible conditions of the desert mines. Hundreds of Caethaiene slave vessels Parchdale Sea, making it a dangerous place to sail.
