Dragon Scrolls

The Dragon Scrolls are a collection of 7 Ki Scrolls contained forbidden Qi Techniques, penned by the immortal half-dragon Qi Wizard, Dragonheart. The exact age of these scrolls is unknown, although they are at least 3000 years old. The Dragon Scrolls are said to be extremely dangerous, containing terrible and forbidden knowledge that would drive many weak-willed readers mad. The location of most of the scrolls are unknown, with many of them hidden by prominent factions within the Wulin or lost to time.

History

In his efforts to unite the 6 Realms once more, Dragonheart delved into dark secrets and practices that would horrify even the most cold of Qi Wizards. In his search for forbidden knowledge to undo The Shattering, Dragonheart began to gather a multitude of dangerous Qi Techniques that had once been lost to time. The majority of these techniques are unnatural, or at the very least extremely powerful and unwieldy in nature, and often take a large toll on the user.

Ultimately, it is said that after finishing his research and writing all 7 Dragon Scrolls, Dragonheart had power to challenge even Bak Mei. Using his newly collected knowledge, Dragonheart attempted to unite the 6 Realms, but was ultimately defeated by a band of heroes. These events took place about 1000 years after The Shattering. After being sealed away, the heroes took the Dragon Scrolls and hid them across Prisma.

More than 3000 years later, Lao Jiu would successfully collect the Dragon Scroll (and not read them) before freeing Dragonheart from containment. Dragonheart once again began to try and unite the 6 Realms, this time using forbidden knowledge from one of the scrolls to create an army of clones to assist him. Dragonheart, Black Dragon, and the clones were defeated by the Mighty 7, however. Once again, Dragonheart was sealed away, and the Dragon Scrolls were scattered throughout Prisma.

Now, Tatari, in many ways seen as Dragonheart's successor, is attempting to collect the Dragon Scrolls. At the same time, The Mighty, the successors to the Mighty 7, are collecting the scrolls as well in order to stop Tatari and use their knowledge to defeat Bak Mei.

The Scrolls

As stated, there are 7 scrolls. They each have a different usage, and each delve into powerful and forbidden knowledge that are not meant for mortals. Not even the Devas are said to be capable of wielding the power of all 7 Scrolls. The usage of such things will eventually decay the body of the wilder, drive them mad, and possibly even transform them into something unspeakable and horrifying. The scrolls, and what they do, are as follows:

  • Yùnshū: A scroll that contains the knowledge of how to open portals to other realms. Not just the 6 Realms, but other, forgotten planes of existence as well. These portals can be used for transportation, or even to make contact with other planes. Currently in the possession of The Mighty.
  • Kōng De: A scroll that describes the true nature of the Blanks, and teaches a technique that allows one to drain Qi from others in the same way as them. Usage of this scroll will eventually turn the user into an undead creature similar to a Blank: A Jiangshi. Was once in the posession of the Liao School for usage as a secret technique, but was eventually given to Kun'lao. Was ultimately stolen and is now in the possession of Tatari.
  • Fènnù: A scroll that describes the true nature of the Shura, the violent servants of the Asura. Learning the technique contained in this scroll will transform one's body into that of a Shura and begin to slowly drive them mad. If one loses themselves to their violent, they will eventually become a Shura themselves. Was in posession of Lao Jiu, with Jin Sorin being a prominent user of this scroll. Currently in possession by Tatari.
  • Shēnghuó: A scroll that represents the peak of alchemical knowledge. Unlocks the secrets to biological life and it true essence. The forbidden knowledge from this scroll allows one to create life and create biological golems. This scroll was used by Dragonheart to create his clone army, and eventually found itself in the possession of the Smith Family of alchemists from Avalon. Currently in the possession of Tatari.
  • Línghún: A scroll that grants one the blessing of the Devas. Can be used to bring about miracles and disasters alike. Capable of creating something from nothing, healing the most terrible of wounds and ailments, and even bringing the dead back to life. Located somewhere in the Valley of the Dragons.
  • Zhīshì: A scroll that trains the reader to develop the "Eyes of the Genius in Esoterica." Those who survive the knowledge imparated from this scroll are granted Dragonheart's intellect in understanding and using Qi Scrolls, especially those used by Qi Wizards. Users of this scroll will suddenly find it much easier to use and harness Qi Spells.
  • Jiēchù: A scroll that can be used to make contact with heavenly bodies, such as Prisma itself, or even stars. All things are living, all things are attuned to Qi. This scroll grants one the knowledge of how to speak with the heavenly bodies, but also drives them mad, as the language of the cosmos is not for mortals. Its current location is unknown.
