Crowspire

Hidden among the clouds above Chiones Crest hides a fortress in the unforgiving grip of the cold.   It was the initial home of Nino, before he moved on to other places. The entire fortress clings to the sides of a small group of lonely snowcrested mountains. It can be roughly divided into three sections.

The Courtyard.

When approaching the fortress from the village below, you first see dark walls illuminated by blueflamed lanternlight, which hug the gaps between the peaks of the mountain. The hostile exterior with its parapets and embrasures hides a series of small courtyards. Hidden in the foundations of the walls are runes which emit warmth, enough to to melt the snow inside and allow somewhat livable conditions.   The western courtyard contains Ninos humble fields which supplied him with food in the early days, but are long forgotten and growing wild by now. The northern courtyard, which can be entered through an underground passage, is far more lived in. Here Nino raised the first Sniffers since their extinction and here live four villagers, which Nino invited to join him up here, trading with them and providing protection. A secret door allows access to the caverns which hollow out the mountain.

The Caves

The caves house Ninos former living quarters as well as some living and working areas. Starting near the abandoned farming courtyard in the west there is a small bedroom with long emptied chests. Moving on, one can enter the main cave, which opens northward to the second courtyard and contains more chests and Crowspires access to The Nether. Here Ninos first works were created and here he keeps a small enclave for the axolotls he bred. From the central cavern you can head three directions.   If you head up the stairs you can either make your way to the apiary and the access point to Yonders flying contraption network or exit the Caverns up to the Tower. Alternatively you can head further down into the mountain caverns, which formed naturally below the mountain from flowing water before the cold came. Down here Nino and Cero created a farm of sorts where they breed and cull the end-native shulkers. it is also where Nino quarried many tons of stone for further projects.

The Tower

Lastly we arrive at the tower, an unfinished construction to the southeast of the mountains side. In clear black and white stone, a pillarlike tower rises up, but clearly remains unfinished. Hidden beneath its surface, is a secret laboratory in which Nino first constructed the redstone network he now moved to his new home.
