once the person working with it indicates that it is done with by putting their palm on it, whispering what it's supposed to do (eg. slide open when touched), and that it is, in fact, done, it cannot be broken. the person working on it can also say, for example, that it cannot be moved or that it burns to the touch. once finished, it will also make small adjustments over time to better fit the person's original (favourite) view for it (after heart and effort are put in to start).

it does not lose its form/properties once the person who worked with it dies.
