The Kedaj Pride Front

A supposedly nationalistic party for the native Kedaj humans of Akiton, in truth an interplanetary criminal syndicate.

The Kedaj, the native humanoid race of Akiton, have become great organizers of political parties and causes in the wake of the thasteron crash that impoverished the planet. Many of these have a nationalistic and human-supremacist flavour, like the Kedaj Pride Front that controlled the Skymarket district of Hivemarket in 317 AG. But like many organizations of its kind, the KPF was primarily concerned with profit, not ideology. Run by a man named Jomo Kallas at the time of the campaign, the KPF became involved in an affair regarding a crashed Starfinder ship called the Moorglade. In the course of events, it was revealed that the KPF had made common cause with a mysterious group of Eoxians, with whom it was firmly allied to the point of being willing to fire on Akitonians and deprive local salvagers of a major prize. This gross disloyalty to Akiton in general and the informal ethics of salvage in particular was not survivable even for an organization as cynical as the KPF, in a time as cynical as this one. Conspiring with off-worlders to interfere with the affairs of Hivemarket led to the KPF's operations in the city being sanctioned by Hivemarket's protectors, the ghostly khulan; having the heart of its operations thus ripped out proved the beginning of the collapse of the KPF's operations across the Pact Worlds. Remnants of the KPF participated later in the same year to ambush and kill the crew of the Empyreal Skylark on Eox. The attempt failed and Jomo Kallas was captured and imprisoned by the Bone Sages.
