The Lands of west Ceria
Written by Elohim when he traveled the world before the start of the common era. Some parts have been omitted in the newer releases, since scores of cultures, tribes, and religions have changed or disappeared during the last 1000 years. For a more resent account of the social ecosystem of Ceria, read A Scholars Guide To West Ceria.
Despite being located right next to east Ceria, west Ceria seem to have a very different history from east Ceria. I speculate that west Ceria was not created by a volcanic eruption like east Ceria, but rather it was either risen from the ocean slowly over time, or created by means of a very powerful spell. At first my colleagues believed that the continents were once one large super continent, and has since been split. However, in my travels i have found compelling evidence to disprove this theory. The types of rock present in the different continents are fundamentally too different, rocks found under ground do not change composition very easily, if indeed these continents were once together, we would observe similar types of rocks and natural materials, which I never observed. This isn't the most satisfactory dispute of the theory. I spent some additional time investigating the circumstances surrounding the creation of west Ceria. Since there are multiple materials that can only be found in west Ceria, it wouldn't make sense that Mount Trinity in east Ceria had erupted these materials from beneath the earth, and not leave a single trace of that in east Ceria, but an abundance of special materials all across west Ceria. Again this isn't a solid refute of the unified Ceria theory. The reason being is that some of the materials i have found in west Ceria, like Titanium, might have once been brought here by the Titans that once inhabited the Northern area of west Ceria. And thus one could argue all materials present in west Ceria, that are not present in east Ceria, could have been brought from Titans or created through some sort of magic. My latest efforts have been to map out the crust of the earth beneath the ocean, ideally i can prove that the land mass that makes up the island and surrounding area is far too great to have been created by Mount Trinity. However, it has been far to time consuming to map out the oceans surface, as it is not only wast, but also especially difficult to study because of its depths and monsters. - Elohim
Elohim never fully completed his map of the ocean surface, and his notes were never published on the topic. He did however manage to map out the climate of west Ceria. Along the coast of the main continent, you can find wetlands and temperate deciduous forests. Most of the inland is Temperate Rain-forests and deciduous forests. There are some more tropical areas in the southern most part of west Ceria, in the now Miyagi area. In addition to the mainland, there are multiple larger islands on all sides of west Ceria, the northern islands have much colder climates, with the most northern parts experiencing permafrost, and the southern parts have more tropical climates.
The fact that there are hundreds of hills, but no mountain chain on the mainland in western Ceria is peculiar. One theory that has been floating around is that the titans excavated the mountains, to make the terrain flatter, and easier to work with. It is an interesting theory, but I have found no supporting evidence for this theory, and since the titans have been gone for a long time, their activities are particularly strenuous to investigate. The only claim about titans I can say for certain is that titans once lived somewhere in west Ceria, and brought with them foreign materials. - Elohim
