Fresh Water
Fresh water is available either from the rivers feeding the Bay of St. Ignatius or shallow wells (in the Upper District), or from deep wells or rainwater cisterns (in the Lower District). Iron Truncheons stand guard at every city well, and attempting to interfere with the use of, poison, or otherwise damage a city well is punished with an immediately executed (pun intended) death sentence.
Graywater
Greywater (water not contaminated with biological waste) is used for slucing biological waste into the sewers, or at least, away from your home or place of business.
Those with small gardens also use the greywater for watering their modest crop.
