Our main antagonist is a grumpy old Asian mafioso who got rich by doing business using both legal and illegal means. He and his friends, Grigor Pilkin and Robert Phillips founded the Syndicate and the space base on Planet Niobe after they evacuated from Earth. At the time of the story he is the leader of the Syndicate, since Pilkin and Phillips are both dead.
