Reunification Wars (42nd)
The Conflict
Prelude
The Homeland has been fractured for years, and nobody in recent years can remember a time when it wasn't. The Reunification Wars have waged for over a century now, since High Emperor Klas disappeared. In recent years, a new contender has entered the fray. Empress Tora, the Wolf Queen, has made great strides in finally bringing an end to this bloody conflict. Her Wolf Knights are legion and their tactics brutal, though not flawless. They have secured much of the mainland, though they now face a war on three fronts.
Deployment
The Wolf Knights entered the Homeland through the Stockholm portal and quickly subjugated the land surrounding it. Their shock tactics led to a succession of quick victories in the following years. Despite this, their initiative is now lost and their war stagnated. In the West, they face a bottleneck against a heavily entrenched foe. In the North, great dragons decimate their forces, while dense forces obstruct large formations. In the South, terrifying sea monsters and overextended supply lines have led to troops being stranded behind enemy lines. The Wolf Knights' lack of a navy hasn't helped them either.
Battlefield
West: Open plains and deserts pre-sighted by artillery. Large formations are ripped to shreds by magic ballistas and a lack of cover.
North: Dense forests and hilly terrain forego the thoughts of a quick victory while air raids by dragon riders decimate forward units.
South: Volcanic islands and thick jungles dot a monster-infested sea littered with the debris of ships foolish enough to brave their waters.

Conditions
West: Dry and arid deserts/plains.
North: Heavy snow reaching higher than a man's head and freezing temperatures.
South: Humid torrential rain, hurricanes, and giant fuck-off maelstroms.
