Oslo
Seat of the Wolf Queen's power
Demographics
Oslo is home to more opportunities than any other settlement on Earth. Many of the most powerful institutions in the Empire use Oslo as their recruiting grounds, meaning few are left without work. The lowest class in Oslo are comparable to the wealthiest of society in other areas, simply due to this fact.
Government
Olso's laws are actually quite strict compared to other territories. This is due to it acting as the first line of defense after Stockholm, effectively making it a fortress city. Additionally, several powerful factions enforce laws personally here, including the Imperial Cult and the Black Sun Syndicate.
The Imperial Cult will apprehend citizens who are guilty of subversion or heresy against the Wolf Queen, along with those who tarnish her image. This includes anyone from blasphemers to simple beggars. This is condoned by the Empire as Oslo's faith means many of its citizens are ready to fight and die in the name of the Wolf Queen, making Oslo and its surrounding territories some of the Empire's best recruiting grounds.
This, combined with its proximity to Stockholm, also means that there is a high concentration of Imperial Soldiers and Meisters in and around Oslo. The safest place to live, it is said, is in the Golden City. This martial presence also means that the Black Sun Syndicate closely regulates their activities in the area, so as not to draw the wrath of the Empire.
Oslo is also largely exempt from Imperial taxes, paying its tithes in manpower. Additionally, immigration to Oslo is strictly regulated, and for many would-be immigrants, service guarantees citizenship.

Defences
A massive river cuts through Oslo. The bridges on these rivers are strategic positions, allowing defenders an easy second line to retreat to should the Eastern defenses crumble. At the behest of one golden boi, these bridges can be raised by defenders, forcing attackers to find another way through. Additionally, a great wall surrounds Oslo, with massive artillery pieces standing vigil on raised towers. The final nail in the proverbial coffin is the Fang, Oslo's citadel. It holds hundreds of trained specialists at any given time, including archers, crossbowmen, artillery operators, and even a few Wolf Knights.
Industry & Trade
Artistry and faith are Oslo's two greatest exports. Not since the Renaissance has humanity known such a great rebirth of art as in Oslo. The believers in the Imperial Cult also spread the good word of the Wolf Queen throughout the Empire in the form of soldiers, missionaries, or relief brigades.
Infrastructure
Every stone paving Oslo's streets is inscribed with the name of a hero who died in service to the Empire. These streets are impeccably clean, and many of the squares include statues of an Imperial hero. Great chapels also dot the city, standing as monuments to the purity of the Wolf Queen. The city is seen as blindingly beautiful to those who view it for the first time, and is considered paradise by many.
Assets
Oslo is home to four great structures:
The Imperial Library is the single largest depository of information in the realm. Every day, hundreds of scribes sort, replicate, and store hundreds of books and scrolls recovered from the Homeland. Hundreds of artifacts and thousands of incantations are also stored in the great vaults beneath this marvel of engineering.
The Fang is a massive construct of war. This great citadel was once the Imperial Palace, home of the Emperor. Now, it is the main conduit for the coordination of army forces on Earth and the main training base for the Imperial Army. If the need arises, it would also act as the main hardpoint in the western defenses, should the portal to the Homeland fall.
The Imperial Arena resides at the center of Oslo. This Colosseum is a proving ground for Imperial Heroes, where they can fight for glory, fame, or the favor of the Wolf Queen herself. It is here that some of the Empire's finest heroes were forged, as well as its worst enemy imprisoned. The Imperial Arena doubles as a prison, containing horrors locked away a millennia ago.
In Oslo stands a chapel of unimaginable beauty. Built as the highest honor to the Wolf Queen, the finest artists and craftsmen were collected to create this building. Known as the Oslo Chapel, it is the main place of worship to her holiness. Its sheer size and beauty is enough to turn most nonbelievers towards the light.

Guilds and Factions
Ironically, despite being formed here, the Black Sun Syndicate are inactive in Oslo. This decision was made by Dexter Bright after being confronted by the Great Wolf. The Imperial Cult, however, are extremely active here and are the unofficial state enforced religion.
