Lady Matilda created Cassandra from their family's gift, wanting a daughter she could raise. Cassandra was raised on the south eastern coastline of the mainland until her family was slaughtered and Cassandra was banished to the island of Ala Wai, where her family already had connections and respect. She arrived along with two royal guards to the island, one of whom would later succumb to his wounds. The remaining guardsman along with the locals would raise Cassandra into adulthood.
As a young lady, Cassandra studied medicine and harbored a fascination with the natural world. Her surviving guard would take her on adventures and protect her from the hatred of her family. In her late 20s, her guardsman perished leaving her completely alone but able to survive on her own. She would take comfort in her creations during this time.
During the reunification war, Ala Wai would come under threat as one of the last neutral holdouts in the Homeland. Cassandra, seeing the danger her home was in, stepped up to represent Ala Wai on the Imperial Council. After the gruesome deaths of many councilmen, she was one of the few bold enough to volunteer. Throughout the war, she created terrifying beasts for the Emperor, an act which she regrets to this day. When the Emperor perished at the hands of the Wolf Queen, many of these monsters would lost control, becoming the creatures which infest the Southern Seas.
As a form of personal penance, she enters warzones to attempt to save the lives of any she comes across, friend or foe. This has earned her the disdain of the rest of the council. Lord Roðin, the monster of the west, was among the lives she saved. He would go on to mercilessly slaughter billions of Imperial soldiers and citizens alike. The scars he left on the Empire still bleed to this day.
At the ripe age of 400, she defeated a fearsome chimaera, despite her reservations about violence cause she's a pussy fest. I mean pacifist. From its body, she created her son, Parzvel.
