Yāoguīzhīdāo
The ‘Yāoguīzhīdāo’ is a specialized robotic weapon designed by the Yuanjing State Armaments Bureau for use by Special Detachment Yaoguai. In contrast to the QBU-202 the battlefield weapon meant to take down hardened targets, the ‘Yāoguīzhīdāo’ is a tool of silent assassination, designed to stealthily kill high value targets, often with the intended aim of making the assassination look like a more typical murder. The weapon is typically favored by undercover Yaoguai operatives, it is sometimes deployed in 4-40 blade swarms by Yaoguai operatives on the battlefield for the purposes of target saturation and threat generation. The blade is technically available on the open market, though it commands a fairly high price.
Mechanics & Inner Workings
The ‘Yāoguīzhīdāo’ is at its core a more advanced form of the archetypical Flying Sword style combat robot with the same basic principles. While the basic Flying Swords seen throughout the galaxy are no frills cheap killbot designs however, the ‘Yāoguīzhīdāo’ possesses advanced camouflage, and even basic active cloaking, allowing the blade to more easily “sneak” its way to a target. Additionally the basic sword blade has been replaced with a more effective Monoblade, in order to better cut through limited armor.
Manufacturing process
The ‘Yāoguīzhīdāo’ is produced exclusively by YUSA, in the same manufacturing complexes as the more standard issue DZJ-2 Monoblades in service with most elite formations of the Yuanjing Red Guard. The blades themselves are fabricated in local fab chambers, alongside the locomotive and stealth systems, while robotic brains and control systems are imported from CECIR. Finally assemblage is performed by hand by YUSA’s skilled roboticists.
