Lancer Pilot
Lancer Pilots are highly specialized vehicle crewmembers who train to make the optimal use of the advanced combat walkers used heavily by states in the Urea Sector. These grav enhanced combat walkers, initially developed as a means of "civilizing" conflict between polities in the region, proliferated as the primary means of waging war within the Urea Nebula, and even as mass production of lancer vehicles began and it became less of a rich man's war, other barriers to entry meant that lancer pilots were still more "elite" than typical of soldiers. The prestige of being a lancer pilot within those polities and the more recent explosion in popularity of Lancer gladiatorial leagues throughout civilized space romanticized the profession, however even as lancer production ramps up, one must be an elite physical specimen to handle piloting such a vehicle, something that greatly limits the number of people that can even try to be lancers.
