E-69 'Anara' Series Advanced Steward Droid
The E-69 series known sometimes as the 'Anara' (from the model of the initial run of E-69 robots) is a series of steward android models built by Cybersynth Robotics. They were developed to be among the most convincing androids produced by Cybersynth. E-69 series robots are typically found in a service role (including in some less savory cases, performing sex work), but are versatile enough to be employed in many other industries. E-69 series robots are among the more common true androids in service around the galaxy (with numbers in the tens or possibly hundreds of millions), but are still much less common than more than more traditional robots.
Mechanics & Inner Workings
The E-69 series of robots are true androids, built to reasonably mimic human beings. This means that they have a very human body plan, and efforts have been made to make them appear human. They have dextrous and strong limbs, and a Very Advanced brain (though one towards the lower end). E-69 series robots have great endurance and quick charge capability ensuring they are can almost always make themselves available to clients at a moment's notice, and basic self-maintenance capabilities that allow them to go longer between maintenance overhauls. They have soft skin and simulate breath and blinking and, for all intents and purposes appear fully human unless scanned, or if one is familiar with the appearance of E-69 production runs. The baseline E-69 models come with two extra slots which are usually used to improve their self-maintenance capabilities, to improve the quality of their robotic brain, or to otherwise help them pass as living beings.
Manufacturing process
E-69 series robots are built in relatively limited runs, largely produced exclusively at the Maputo facility in the Zambezi system, though many of its parts can be assembled in other facilities. Most every component is machine assembled, as they are beyond the capabilities of Cybersynth Fab chambers. Final assembly, and construction of the brain is often done by hand with skilled roboticists putting considerable effort into it. At peak production, roughly two or three thousand of these robots could be produced a day, and thanks to their self-maintenance capabilities most remain in service.
