Utar
Utar is the god of law and charity. He is worshipped by those that value community and the laws within it. Utar has worshippers from both Lumin and Void origin, since his principles appeal to many. Werewolves, bloodlings and dwarves all have many worshippers of Utar. Most races are familiar enough with this god to know what his position was during The Divide.
In the time following The Awakening, Utar taught the people of the new realms about justice and community. He promoted a lifestyle where everyone lives in consideration of their neighbours. His philosophy was simple, treat others the way you want them to treat your mother.
Utar often showed wisdom to people that wanted to know how to deal with a dispute or a crime. The unpredictable actions of the chaotic people offended or injured others at times. He felt a great love for the new realms' people and wanted them to feel the same love for each other. However, with time, he realised that the shadow realm needed more guiding than the others. Their dark natures often led them to selfish actions that harmed those around them. Utar was concerned and warned Dryara that the shadow realm people shouldn't get more power until they have learned to use the power they have with consideration for others. She told Utar that the two most powerful realms, light and shadow, would never control each other's element because it would give to much power to them. Utar seemed satisfied with this.
When the attack before The Divide happened, Utar felt a great rage when he saw the suffering of the people. He realised that the people needed laws that gave them clear instruction on how to live for the benefit of all.
The laws are as follows:
1. The great law - Treat others how you want them to treat your mother.
2. Community - Your actions must not negatively impact others and their mothers as you would not have others' actions hurt your mother.
3. Responsibility - Accept consequences of your choices as you expect others to do the same.
4. Growth - Always strive to learn and improve as you expect your children to grow and learn.
5. Charity - To give to another when they have none will not leave you poor but rich in spirit.
6. Truth - Hiding a necessary truth is like hiding food from the starving, is like keeping water from the thirsty, hiding joy from your mother.
7. Life - Do not take the life of another, except in self defense, as you would not want another to take the life of your mother.
8. Self - Care for yourself as you would want one to care for your mother.
Many people in the modern world don't follow these laws often, but there are people that believe in them and their value. Many people don't have mothers or aren't on good terms with them and use this as the reason they cannot relate to the sacred laws. But any devout follower will tell you that the term 'mother' in the texts is meant to represent someone of value to you personally, maybe even yourself. Mothers in the old times were seen as sent from Dryara to bring new wonderful life into existance and thus valued by all.
