Eeriedale East Zone Districts

Even though each zone has a residential area, every district has residents, along with shops and businesses. The below descriptions serve to show the major aspects the districts are known for.

1. The Bottom Docks

The Bottom Docks is the shipping and harbour district of the East. Due to its close proximity to Posh Plaza, it has a bridge and boats that go to the island district. This port isn't as much of a smugglers den as North Port because of this, although the entire East Eeriedale has a fair amount of illegal business that goes through this port. Mercenaries and other hired muscle, the ones that tend to do the more bloody jobs, often hang out in the bay pubs.

2. China Town

The Oriental district of East Eeriedale. Home to authentic foods and clothing, this district has many buildings with traditional chinese curved roofs and a huge Buddha statue in the centre. In spite of its name, you can also find other old world asian cultures here like Thai, Japanese and Korean businesses. This area also has many dojos where various styles of martial arts are taught.

3. Corpo Town

The Corporate office district. It isn't easy for a company to operate within East Eeriedale. The amount of crime within the district makes the risk of sabotage and break in very high. Fortunately, Corpo Town has just enough collective security and just too few other interesting places, that the average criminal is discouraged from venturing here.
Companies that have buildings here often want to work away from the public eye of Core Eeriedale.

4. Dead End Industrial

The industrial and factory area of East Eeriedale. Factories that operate here don't have the funds to hold a building in the better SFD factory area, or the nature of their business isn't exactly legal. Some of the buildings in DEI are abandoned, bringing in homeless people and gangs. There is always an unpleasant smell in the air, a mixture of the chemical plants and the dead bodies that tend get dumped here.

5. East Red

The Red Light district of East Eeriedale. Unlike Eden in the North, this district is run by one Madame. Her name is Fang Yingtai, and she is merciless when protecting her entertainers. Word on the street is that she is connected to the Dark Hand. Due to the fact that this area has one ruler, gang violence isn't as prevalent here. However, what it lacks in violence, it makes up for in body theft. If you value your precious cybernetics, organs and your life then you need to think twice about venturing into this area. Only those that are well connected are safe. Others are too desperate for their dose of debauchery to care.

6. East Slum

Not as bad as the Shole, but very close. The East Slum residential area is home to many lower class citizens. The buildings here are packed closely together, small apartments often house too many people. Unlike the Shole and the Boxes, this district doesn't have a fancy part for the rich. Those that think themselves to be better than the commoners will live in Posh Plaza, away from the slum eyesore. The East Slum is known for its gang violence, but also its strong sense of community. Life is tough here, but at least you can count on your neighbour to drop you at the clinic if you OD or get shot.

7. Forgewater

One of the better East districts, due to how close it is to the Core. The businesses here are not as sophisticated as the Core, and not as much of a gamble as the East proper. There are many construction companies, weapons & armor manufacturers and android service centres here. Cubetronics, the leading android manufacturer, is located here.

8. Posh Plaza

For those people whos' money is made by more nefarious means, this island offers both security and privacy. For the rich and notorious, this district has everything a person could ask for. Mansions, elite shops and private schooling. Anyone can tell you that you can't go near the island without a proper invitation, security personel patrol the bay and bridge. This district is like PD Island but for criminals. EDPD officers know that they will be heavily outmanned if they dare venture into this district to apprehend a crime boss. Their best shot is to wait for their target to leave the island.

9. Sage Ridge

Like Tech Farm, this district has many research and development buildings. The difference is that many of the companies here focus on magical research, rather than technological. Many scholars that wish to further their magical studies work here. The R.C.T magic and rift research facility is also located in this district.

10. Shady Heights

The general business and recreation district of East Eeriedale. This is where the average person would go to do their shopping and to have a drink or two. Shady Heights is not a very remarkable district, not as dilapidated or cramped as the Slum, it doesn't have as much variety in product as Undermarked and isn't as specialized in their services as The Bliss or East Red. The common person's hangout. Many look down on this district for how seemingly bland it is, but to people that are trying to live a normal life this district is the best in East Eeriedale, maybe even the entire city.

11. The Bliss

The Bliss, also known as the gambling district, offers entertainment that you can't find anywhere else in the city. Almost every type of betting game is available here; mechdog racing, droid battle, pit fighting, casinos and more. Many people have ruined their lives in The Bliss gambling their money away, then loaning money from loansharks they know they can't pay off. This area is so busy that many of these loansharks work here exclusively. Their offices can be spotted on almost every block.

12. Undermarket

This district got its name from the illegal market that it hides. Where there are various rumors of where the actual Red Market is, anyone who is anyone can tell you that the literal black market hides within a normal looking street market. This market is so big that it takes up the entire district. Driving in with a land vehicle is extremely difficult, most building rooftops had to be converted to parking spaces and shuttle stops for flying vehicles. Motorcycles traverse the busy market well since there is a dedicated bike lane for deliveries and customers. Undermarket is known for its illegal technology, hacked androids and banned cybernetics are only some of the items that can be found here.
