This colossal deity makes its dwelling within the Ancestral Boon, a tree of impossible breadth and towering height, whose trunk opens like a living gate only at the approach of the Amberglae. When the sacred bark parts, the world is flooded with brilliance, and from that hollow heart the Umboyoni descends in all its radiant majesty. It is a being of awe and terror, a storm given flesh and wing: a bird of thirty feet in height, its wings unfurling to span ninety feet, veined in white fire and gilded with the brilliance of gold. Its eyes burn like molten suns, casting light too fierce for Das’Veyan mortals gaze. Society & Governance • Matriarchal Structure The Amberglae are ruled by women.
