Vulcan
Vulcan - known also as the Molten God, the Burning One and the World Hearth - was one of the twelve Dark Lords that governed the multiverse before Mankind, and a source of all underground-themed magic. Almost nothing is known about him, due to the the United Nations censoring majority of data concerning their battles against this Dark Lord, for unknown reasons.
There are some unconfirmed tales of reliefs describing Vulcan's past being found in the deepest recesses of Muspell (his insane fortress at the core of Nidavellir), however these are largely unconfirmed as of today.
Physical Description
Body Features
It is unknown how Vulcan actually looks like. The Dark Lords and the most powerful of their servitors appear significantly more aligned with the human minds - with, for example, Vulcan and his servants prefering fire and magma theme - however it is not their ACTUAL look. It's just a self-censorship that human minds enforce upon themselves, seeing them as the closest approximation that they could handle.
Vulcan's 'false look' is largely unknown, however there is a large number of surviving drawings and photographs that has somewhat avoided censorship - all of which portray him as a humanoid beast made from molten magma, with greatly varied height, decimating entire divisions with his control over magma and volcanic bombs it could fire at will. This is, however, only partially true image of Surtr.
The actual Vulcan IS the Nidavellir - he is less a living being and more a living core of a planet, with patterns of his twisted minds (namely, memories) influencing the flow of molten metal within his 'body'. Muspell is probably his twisted memory of some fortress, or perhaps his last conscious thoughts of a place where he would be safe from Mankind. While his actual mind is gone from Nidavellir and is imprisoned by the System, his body is kept in a state of partial animation through potent metaphysical techmaturgy established by humans to stop the entire planet from dying in his absence.
Special abilities
Absolute control of magma, pressure and magneticism - he is less a being and more of humanoid volcanic eruption (of supervolcano, at least judging from the firepower he once wielded), destroying everything in his path. And that's without counting the fact that he could also control the magnetic field of the planet, weaponizing it a degree even from the other side of the world. Nobody knows exactly how Mankind managed to circumnavigate the problem and corner him, as the records were destroyed (including memories) soon after the war.

Personal history
Vulcan's past is unknown - the reliefs supposedly found in Muspell are too heavy to be brought out, so everything supposedly there is just a hearsay. And even then, they wouldn't be an objective source of information, and instead be more of a manifestations of his twisted mind. As a result, nothing is known about his history.
Unlike most of the Dark Lords, even the way he was slain is unknown - Mankind did something to him, something nasty (and that's without counting the part when it sticked electrodes into his body to keep it in false-life forever, thus preserving his world from being torn apart). Something nasty enough that it decided to get rid of that particular memory. Officially, he was slain through simple force of arms, something that can be believed only if you don't know that he was, in fact, the Nidavellir as a whole.
