Astral Network

Astral Network is an eldritch realm that unawarely to most is entirely manmade. It was created through the will of the System, forming a necessary backbone to the Divinity Framework by creating a realm for the gods and the afterlife for their worshippers.   It is, perhaps, the most clear example of the greatness that Mankind once possessed, only to lose most of it during the Blackout. And of how much has the System left the predicted boundaries established by its human creators.

Astral Network is a purely conceptual realm, heavily intertwined with human consciousness and the concepts known to it. It is unknown where exactly it lies when compared to the known universes, in fact it's heavily questioned if it even exists in the conventional way, as it certainly ignores all rules of material universe and the laws of physics.   It is also hard to map it out in any understandable way whatsoever. Even describing is hard to do, becaue conventional logic applies to it only the broadest of senses.   It appears to be running on a more story-like logic, with words and concepts being more important than cold hard rules (all the way to the rules of causality). To travel between domains of gods is to travel not through places but through the conceptual connections between them (be it similar acts, similar domains, similar theology - or personal connections between them).   Even the act of perceiving it sometimes changes the way it looks like. Perception here is surprisingly important.   As a result, visiting it as a mortal being is generally considered to be a horrible idea. It's incredibly mindscrewy and it requires a lot of imagination to comprehend in any degree. Extended stay while in fully biological form is likely to cause mental issues. This is the realm of concepts and souls, way beyond the mortal ken.   The divine domains scattered throughout the Astral Network are conceptual memeplexes that can be physically visited and interacted with (although this is extremely rare). That's the best way of describing how alien this places.   It's also believed that Astral Network extends beyond the human noosphere. There are parts of it born of concepts beyond human comprehension, believed to be the source of many Outsiders.
