Aphelion

The aphelions are a mysterious race that come from the cosmic plane. Little is known about the aphelions, except for what has been told by the Forsaken, and even their knowledge is diminutive.
The realm of the aphelions is deep within the Cosmos, their civilisations and settlements have never been witnessed, but ruins, relics and monuments of their design are common throughout the cosmic plane; the Forsaken are aphelions that have seemingly been cast down to the Mistlands, without purpose or any memory of why.   Aphelions are bio-mechanical creatures formed from a brass-like material seemingly unique to their race; they are still organic, however.
Their bodies appear as large, ornate, digitigrade forms of metal and blue radiant energy; they bear no resemblance to other humanoids, with a large, hunched torso, shorter arms and long legs, giving them a strong, imposing figure that excels at deflecting attacks. The precise appearance of each aphelion differs from case-to-case, some having more ornate patterning or structure than others, but they all have some sort of glowing inlay running through their otherwise pristine frames; this patterning has some meaning to other aphelions, but it is unclear at best and completely undecipherable at worst.

Age: Aphelions are immortal, they show no signs of aging, and a 'juvenile' (if they exist) has never been seen.
Alignment: Aphelions are innately cosmic beings, they value order, meaning they are almost always lawful.
Size: Aphelions are much broader and massive than most all other races, weighing up to 800 pounds; although they rarely stand above 6 ft.
Bio-Mechanical: You have resistance to poison damage and immunity to disease and the poisoned condition. You don't need to drink or breathe, but you do need to ingest biological matter.
Celestial Rest: When you take a long rest, you spend at least 6 hours in an inactive, motionless state, instead of sleeping. In this state, you appear inert, but you remain conscious.
Natural Armour: Due to your large, curved, metallic frame, your body excels at deflecting attacks, giving you a base AC of 17 (your Dexterity modifier doesn't affect this number). You cannot wear armor, unless specially made, but you can apply a shield's bonus as normal.
Booster Jets: You have engines that provide thrust built into your carapace. These jets increase your long-jump distance to 20 ft, and your high jump distance to 10 ft. You can jump maximum distance without having to move. Additionally, you can spend your reaction upon taking fall damage to half the damage you take.
Your boosters can be engaged to perform a high-speed tackle; as a bonus action, you can perform a flying dash in a straight line, if you collide with a creature of size large or smaller, you stop moving and they must succeed on a Strength saving throw (DC = 8 + your strength modifier + your proficiency bonus) or be knocked prone. You can perform this a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus. You regain all uses on a short or long rest
Aphelion Weapon Training: You are proficient with firearms.
Languages: You can speak, read and write one common language, Celestial and Aphelian
