Gwrgan ap Llewelyn (ˈɡurɡan ap ɬɛˈwɛlɪn)
The Uchelwr of Cantref Mathra, in the Kingdom of Cunedda. Known as a stupid and obstinate man, who believes that all others are too feeble or cowardly to challenge his actions. Since the death of Maelgwn the Tall, he has begun raiding across his southern border into the Kingdom of Mathrafal, ignoring all commands to stop from Maelgwn's grandson, Rhys ap Maelgwn. He has angered the king of Mathrafal Owain ap Cynfyn, who has only restrained himself from attacking Cunedda at the pleading of Wynflæd Klüpfuchs - the Bernician ambassador to Cunedda, and cousin to Rhys ap Maelgwn, who is undertaking to resolve the Cuneddan situation.
