The Feywild and Shadowfell
The material plane is mostly devoid of creatures born of the Feywild and Shadowfell. Some humanoids have Fey Ancestry but pure Fey and Shadowfell natives were mostly lost to the plane when the connections to the other planes were cut off.
When the connection between planes was broken, some Fey and Shadowfell creatures who were near Feywild/Shadowfell crossings were dropped into the Material Plane and essentially locked out of their native plane.
