Spineripper Demon

Spinerippers are my least favorite demonic buddy, because they are cunning, stealthy, and like to rip out spines. You got that from the name, right?   Their tactics are simple, but so effective that me telling you about them won't save you. The spinerippers are winged demons who like to cling to the shadowy nooks and crannies inside the upper skull. They roost there by the hundreds. Or thousands. Or more. I'm not sure anyone has taken a census recently.   They move quickly and silently, and drop on their prey from above. Their claws can slice through feathersteel, and no that spellshield won't save you either. The real danger, though, is them getting in your backfield. If they can reach your neck, then I hope you had some overpriced insurance, because that head is coming right off.   The good news, if there is any, is that once a spineripper has ripped a spine they return to their nest with the trophy. You won't have to deal with that specific one again for at least a few minutes. Yay, right?

Spineripper Demons

  Magnitude: 4     Brace: 2   Dodge: 4   Skepticism: 3     Initiative: 0   Movement: 20     HP: 60   Armor: 2   Resistance: 10 Void

Abilities

Apex Predator   Range: 1   Dice Pool: 10   Damage: 12 Physical (2 Armor Penetration)   Defense: Brace   This is the move, folks. The Spineripper yanks your spine from your body, shows it off like it just won a Kem'Hedj tourney, and then straight bails.   If the first application fails, then the demon will keep slicing at your back until it finishes or you stop it.       Stealth Aura   Range: Personal   As long as the demon is cloaked in shadow it is effectively invisible. Attempts to spot the demon require a DT of 5. Light cancels this ability, but the demon is fast and will run for the shadows if cornered. It prefers to hit and run.
