The taskmaster appointed to oversee the area around the Mind is a master strategist trained by Xal'Aran. Xakar rose through the ranks, and has apparently seen several centuries, though I haven't verified his age. He favors a spellcannon, but is rarely close enough to the front to use it.
If you run into Xakar you've done something terribly wrong, as he waits at his command HQ, within sight of the mind on a bony ledge in the darkness, protected by countless spinerippers.
In the unfortunate event that you do run into him I'd advise the same tactics as any other taskmaster. Just hit him harder, until he stops moving.
Demonlord Xakar
Magnitude: 5
Brace: 3
Dodge: 6
Skepticism: 5
Initiative: 3
Movement: 12
HP: 180
Armor: 5
Resistance: 10 Void
Abilities
Voidball
Range: 30
Dice Pool: 15
Damage: 12 Void in a 6 radius
Defense: Brace
Xakar is just as fond of sending voidballs from the safety of its lines as every other taskmaster. These are strategically placed to create gaps that bonecrushers can exploit.
This is also one more reason why I recommend getting in close. If you can reach melee, then the demon can't fire its cannon, and will be forced to use its claws.
Claw
Range: 2
Dice Pool: 15
Damage: 8 physical, 5 void, 3 AP
Defense: Brace
Even Xakar would prefer to avoid melee, but if you're in his face then he will claw your face off. You're less likely to see this, as Xakar will probably just blink back to range.
Blink
Range: 20
Xakar can use the blink spell at will as an action. There is no limit to the number of times this ability can be used.
