Imprints

In the desolate ruins of Nel'Akhiron, travelers communicate not with words but with ephemeral marks left in the world's decay. These marks are known as remnant imprints, a form of communication only those with a shattered soul can perceive. A traveler uses a purified tool—a sliver of obsidian or a shard of bone—to momentarily focus their will and imprint a powerful thought or emotion onto the very fabric of the Magical Bleed.   These imprints are not physical messages, but brief, symbolic sensations. When the protagonist approaches one, they don't read words but feel a specific emotion or image: a searing pain to indicate "danger ahead," the flash of an arrow to point to a hidden path, or a feeling of fleeting hope to signify a safe haven. It is a language of feeling and intent, a way for scattered souls to leave a mark against the endless decay. Each imprint is a tiny, fleeting sign of humanity against the overwhelming blight.
