Grave-Lich of the Sunken Archive

The Grave-Lich is not one, but many—thousands of Archomancers whose final screams bound their will into one spectral tyrant. It seeks only to guard what remains of forbidden knowledge.   This creature is not a living being but the collective, malevolent will of countless Archomancers who perished while trying to save their knowledge during the Annihilation. Their final, maddened thoughts have coalesced into a single, spectral force, the Grave-Lich, which protects a vast, ruined library known as the The Sunken Archive of Sryx'thal.   The Lich itself is a terrifying magical projection and cannot be harmed by conventional means. It attacks from a distance with devastating magical projectiles and summons the angry Echoes of the fallen Archomancers to attack any who step foot within its lair. To defeat it, one must find and destroy the glowing, corrupted scrolls that are scattered throughout the library. The Lich's power is tied to these scrolls, and destroying them temporarily makes it vulnerable. A tense game of cat and mouse ensues, as one is forced to navigate a labyrinth of bookshelves and ruined staircases, all while trying to find the one weakness of a boss that is both everywhere and nowhere at all.   It wields the Grave-Lich Greatsword with surprising ease, as though it were a weightless extension of its own bony body.
