Cosmic Compass

This is not a compass meant for finding direction, but for navigating the currents of corruption. The Cosmic Compass is a device crafted from petrified bone and rusted brass. Its needle, instead of pointing north, is a glowing, fractured shard of a Void-Star. The needle spins erratically, its direction a reflection of the nearest major concentration of the Magical Bleed. It points to great magical forces, whether they be pools of corrupted magic, the lair of a powerful creature, or the ruins of an Archomancer’s spire. It was a tool of the White Order, once used to find pure sources of magic, but after the Annihilation, it was re-forged with a shard from the Shattered Sky to track the very corruption it was meant to prevent.
