Broken Blade Invasion Aftermath Report

This report, spanning several pieces of weathered parchment, was put together by Vicar Ambriel Zamphros as a means of ensuring proper care for the dead is maintained in light of the great tragedy that befell the Ten Towns. Sheriff Southwell seems to have added some notes about structural and material loss as well, with a mind for the eventual rebuilding effort.   There are far too many names for you to comb through entirely, but you do recognize several of the names listed.

General Situation

  • Six of the Ten Towns destroyed or otherwise rendered uninhabitable
  • Honeybrook
  • Caer Sella
  • Vrath Keep
  • Hole-in-the-Ice
  • Lystheim
  • Whiteridge
  • Estimated ~1,300 dead from Battle of Whiteridge and Chardalyn Dragon attack.
  • Remaining refugees gathered at Camp Daybreak in just outside of the Hartwick Thicket
  • Remaining towns of Icemeet, Three Streams, Mirlake, Hartwick, Duhngrave, and Storm's Call struggling to accomodate wave of surviving refugees. Supply shortage imminent by the end of the summer at the latest. Continuation of Eternal Rime makes outlook grim.

Honeybrook

  • Entire town except for Mead Hall leveled
  • Major loss of citizenry - ~65 of 100 dead
  • Speaker Olivessa Untapoor & remaining citizenry alive

Caer Sella

  • Catastrophic damage, total loss of infrastructure & all residential buildings
  • Near total loss of citizenry, estimated ~120 of 150 dead
  • Sisters Allie Shorard and Cori Shorard - dead
  • Eglendar 'Glen' Korr - dead
  • Atenas Swift & Jartha Farzassh alive
  • Speaker Trovus survived battle of Whiteridge

Hole-in-the-Ice

Lystheim

  • Unrecoverable damage. Little left of town but scrap and salvage. Temple of Solanus badly damaged. Council Hall and Town Hall both completely destroyed.
  • Estimated ~900 of 1,200 residents dead.
  • Elza Blackiron dead. Brother Garn Blackiron alive.
  • Dannika Greysteel alive.
  • Beren Blackhammer of Duhngrave dead.
  • Speaker Duvessa Shane confirmed dead.
  • Severed head of Chardalyn Dragon recovered

Whiteridge

  • Town badly damaged & left uninhabitable. Defense wall still stands, but frost giant artillery and barbarian fire arrows decimated most of the standing structures.
  • Estimated ~50 (not counting militia) of 600 dead. Stout defense at Battle of Whiteridge averted catastrophic loss of life.
  • Roughly three-fourths of defending force (approximately ~175 of 250) remains alive. Battle went far better than expected, largely in thanks to the assistance of the Storm's Call orcs and Duhngrave dwarves.
  • Huarwar Mulphoon of Icemeet dead
  • Fef Moryn of Honeybrook dead
  • Lord Bellen Blackhammer of Duhngrave dead
  • Three children of King Siegmar confirmed slain by defending forces - Fannar Siegsson, Ulfur Siegsson, and Hulda Siegsdottir
