After dispatching the Hand of Dooms soldiers and taking a short rest, the group continued into the depths of the Ghostlords Lair. The next room had some mysterious experiments written in Dwarvish and hinted at an attempt to soul-bind into a mechanical constructs. An ioun stone was found in a pit containing a Grey Ooze, but its slow movement let the group dispatch it with ease.   The next room was a study, unused for many years, containing some old valuables of antiquity and books from centuries before. Continuing on, a necromantic tree was found that appeared to once hold the Ghostlords Phylactery, but upon examination the group was attacked by a spectral wolf. It moved between the walls but using haste and splitting up, the group struck it down.   After finding some of the Ghostlords treasure, another room was found that appeared far more alive than the rest. Pure white and containing murals of alive wolfs, a lone and sad dwarf relief was center of the far wall. While examining the murals, the Ghostlord opened a portal and confronted the group.   In return for his Phylactery back, he revealed much information regarding his past, his deteriorating sense of self and his difficulty in hanging on the last strands of sanity. He was an ancient dwarf from before the poles shift, knew of the group and the rise and fall, and of King Theodrics fight against Tiamats forces of old. After revealing Valerie's heritage and descendance from the king and finding of the sword of antiquity that lie in the Ruins if Rhest, the group decided not to press their luck against the Lich any further and departed.   After discussing their findings the group returned to the airship and further back to Storms Call.
