After evading the leviathan and decay that infested this portion of the Underdark, the group continued on towards Zanzarite where they hoped to aid the Deep Gnomes and find a route to the surface.   On the way, the group enjoyed a brief bit of respite from the horrors that lie behind, and got to know each other as well as the Gnome leader Bilden Oremolder a bit better.   The passages led to a mysterious dark portal that obscured the way, but with Leia leading the group braved entry and found themselves in a mysterious set of caves. In front of them was a strange little man with corn cobs in his backpack, who was attempting to play a wind instrument badly. He gave it to the group, and danced along with the tune. Unfortunately this was cut short as demons attacked!   After realizing some of the portals simply exited back at the entrance, the group began to listen to the cave echoes in order to hear which entry-ways exited to new chambers and were not looping back to the start. In the series of taverns, the strange fey man had a series of puzzles setup as well as a room with a set of easels where the group was encouraged to paint. In return he provided keys and rewards.   Lastly the group stumbled upon a creature trapped within heavy vines, and a guardian of pestilence confronted the group. Thankfully the group learned his weakness, and using the mysterious mushrooms found earlier was able to apply the right damage and overcame him. As it fell, a strange evil shard was discovered inside its corpse and the vines began to loosen revealing the captive inside. As Mindflayer stepped forward...
