With Leia free to roam the cell block, she took the opportunity to talk to the drow wizard Faesandra Barison. She and her companions seemed like they would be useful allies and served a good deity, and if the group could find the magical keys to her bindings and her spellbook she would be a powerful ally.    After being allowed time to rest, the group was put back to work the next day by the slavemaster Olgara. Shane was allowed to go work in the kitchen with her new kobold companion, and learned of the face of the duergar in charge as well as news of a dignitary that would be arriving. Lastly Shane was told to make food deliveries, and after arriving at the center structure she took the opportunity to do a bit of exploration around the Derros camp. After slipping into a tent and finding a bunch of teeth, she went to the next tent only to be assaulted by a Derro. Thankfully Shane got the jump on it and managed to kill it before others were alerted. She proceeded to loot a few valuables and after a bit of scouting, returned to the others to report her findings.   Nerris annoyed the local guards into allowing her to dispose of the "dead" elfs body to prevent it from stinking up the cavern. While daisy wasn't truly dead, she required water if she was to survive much longer. Nerris brought her to the pool, and told her to wait here until the group was ready to make an escape. On the way back from the Derro, Shane met up with Nerris and began to discuss the events before they would be returning.   Lastly Leia was assigned to mining duty with Dregnul Gravelchief and Lelee, the strange Goblin who seemed to crave brains. The dwarf Dregnul confided in Leia that he wished to take as many of them out as he could, while the goblin seemed content to bang away with a pick. After some time, some duergar brought some small satchels on a string of rope, and attached them to the wall they were digging out. Leia was given a torch and told to light it. Before she did, however, she quickly cut and snagged one satchel from the line and ignited the rest, barely escaping before a loud explosion range out.   While cleaning up the rubble, she showed the dwarf the satchel and the sullen dwarf requested it. Leia agreed, and the dwarf went outside to the duergar guards and a torch, before igniting it and blowing most of them to bits. The duergar were shocked at this breach, and quickly rushed the prisoners back to the cages to investigate. Lelee took the opportunity to eat some of the dwarves brains, and seemed to become much more intelligent during this period where she helped Leia form an escape plan.
