In the last chamber, by some strange magic the party found themselves squaring off with their old foe, Scarvinious. He and his bugbears proved easy targets for the strong group, but as he fell a voice called out. Valerie had a choice, spare him or dispense judgement. She judged Scarvinious, and cast him back down the river styx, unwilling to test what might happen should she spare his life.   With the final orb in their possession, a spiral staircase rose in the center revealing a route up. Here they found an old tomb, containing a vast amount of dusty old treasure, a second segment to the map they had found earlier, and a magical orb of light and a later identified Ring of Free Action. An apparition appeared before the group, announcing that the final key to finding the Tomb of Theodric was located in the ruins of Rhest, a treasure they would have to find some other day.   Finally after collecting their new gear, the group investigated a strange wooden structure that led into the rock. It turned out to be some sort of crashed ship on the side of the mountain, far above Storms Call, and it had a mysterious orb on the front of it. After interacting with the orb, it finally spat out a Lightning elemental that seems to be drawn to it. The lightning surges spawned some other elemental sparks and seemed to attract a large amount of stirges that were hidden in the mountains crevasses. The fight proved difficult, but eventually the group prevailed with no casualties.   The new Firbolg companion Amauris determined that the orb seemed to contain some modified or damaged version of Control weather, and that the shamans below must be tapping into its energy to power their forge. Nyx guessed that the lightning elemental must have been disrupting that, and with it clear it was likely that the orcs would once against be able to channel the power of the storm.
